Mommy & Me Monday
It is a good thing this weekend was full of adventure so I had to get out of my pjs and work out clothes. We went back to Louisiana for Matt's best friend's wedding. Abram didn't join us for the actual wedding, but did come to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner; sporting his Tux onesie he got for Christmas from Uncle Dave. He was a hit!
Suit up!
Happily Ever After
We were in Lafayette over the weekend to see Leslie's sister, Naomie, get married. She was beautiful and so were her bridesmaids in yellow (deja vu ;)). There wedding was lots of fun with new dances I hadn't seen before and a photobooth.
We managed to get up early on Sunday to head home to celebrate our anniversary that night and eat our cake (which I ate even though it wasn't the best idea...it is a once-in-a-lifetime kinda thing). Matt did the planning, but I told him it is his anniversary too. We left to head to Perry's steakhouse at 7 (the start time of our ceremony) and on the way Matt played the song I walked down the aisle to (Yellow)...memories! He also gave me a sweet card that got me crying...finally a year later I cried haha! We enjoyed dinner and then went home to eat our cake (still delish)...unfortunately it was a Sunday so that was the end of our celebrating, but it was very simple and nice.
I never thought when my best friends made it their mission to get us to "date" in High School, that it would lead to this kind of happiness. Matt always teases me that I almost gave up... We have been through many stages of life together... me cheering for him in football games, high school dances, him going away to college while I stayed in Lafayette, my parents moving away, studying abroad, the introduction of Gable (no easy task at the beginning), graduations, being at LSU together, Matt's first career job with our big move, our first house, and finally our marriage.
We both thought our favorite point of the last year was the wedding (being with everyone to celebrate) and the honeymoon...and of course, the worst was all of my school torture. I am so excited to see what the next year has in store for us! It should be very exciting!

Our pictures are ready!
I have been seriously neglecting the blog since getting married. This is not because I don't love it...I am just in mega-cleaning mode these days. I have been organizing my whole house. This includes giving away 3 bags of clothes/purses/shoes from my closet, organizing Matt's closet, organizing my design shelf and throwing away 3 shelves of samples/brochures, organizing our office, etc. I think the fear of going back to school unorganized is the culprit of this.
If I haven't already e-mailed you this...our pictures from the wedding are in! Matt and I have been re-living our wedding day in all of its wonderful excitement over and over again. Thank you so much Clint Shuttlesworth! Go to the link below and enter in the password: yourock. We get the cd of them next week so I will be posting them on Facebook. In the meantime, here is a pic I "stole" from his gallery. Now I am off to replant some plants in the flower beds!

Can We Stay on Our Honeymoon, Please?
Our honeymoon was the most needed vacation I have ever taken and was also one of the best! We left the hotel at 3:30 on Sunday morning...we had just enough time to shower and take a short nap. We slept on the first flight and the second watched the movie, "Valentines Day" with the other 90% of the plane that were honeymooners. Most of the girls wore their "bride" shirts or sun dresses and some guys had their "groom" shirts. All had their shiny, newly polished rings on that glistened in the light, freshly manicured nails, and a newlywed glow. Matt and I had bags under our eyes and no rings (thought it was a smart idea when going to the ocean), but we did have pretty nails. ;)
We arrived on St. Lucia and were greeted by the rain and gray skies due to the recent tropical storm. We didn't mind, we just wanted to sleep...but this didn't happen until we rode an hour and a half on very windy roads...many got car sick while Matt slept haha. We were greeted by friendly staff at Ti Kaye who gave us welcome leis made out of banana leaves and a welcome rum punch in a wooden cup. That night we ate dinner at the resort (the only available place to eat at night, averaging 100 dollars a dinner).
Our bungalow was amazing with a gorgeous view of the ocean that we would never get sick of looking at. It was complete with french doors that would open to the porch that had a hammock and private plunge pool...that connected to our outdoor shower from which we could look at the ocean. Flowers covered our bed that we quickly brushed off and fell like zombies into until about noon the next day.
We woke to partly cloudy skies and took the chance to relax on the beach...only 160 steps down from the resort. (better than the boat/car ride at other resorts) We ate at the beach bar and grill and took the day to kayak to private beaches and lay around.
On Tuesday, we took a 30 minute water taxi ride to the capital city of St. Lucia, the Castries. While there we had the opportunity visit the craft market, a local cafe for some juice, a 400 year old tree, the city's cathedral, some duty free shops, and see an animation about the island's history. We finally found out that the island was fought over by the french and british until the 70's, when they got their independence...just in time for a hurricane to hit and destroy many homes; leaving the country with little money to support itself. This did explain the mixture of creole food and language with british-english and driving on the left side of the road. That night we ate our cold lunch left-overs from the mini-fridge in order to save money for activities and relax on our porch...
Our families have been at our sides every step of the way and showed us how much they care during our year of wedding planning...yes, the entire year of venues, food, flowers, music, dresses, invites, rings, smiles, and break-downs. Wedding planning does take a lot of work and I am glad to get to rest and relax now, but it did pass by too fast. An entire year of planning for four hours of fun that felt like 20 minutes. I kept reminding myself to take it all in...in each moment. From the getting ready with my girls, to the ceremony music played by my cousins, to the saints chant at the reception...everything was special and memorable.
Thank you everyone for coming to our weekend of wedding fun...we had a blast and hope you all had just as much fun as we did! Also, thanks to our parents for working so hard to help us put this wedding together...it is now over and you can go get a margarita or two! ;)

Wedding,Wedding, and more Wedding
I haven't been doing much of anything besides final wedding planning since school got out.
However, I was able to get a weekend away to ride some boats in tickfaw with Matt and some friends. I hadn't been out there since the Boat Bash in 2008, when Kristen made an entire ice chest of jello shots. Ashtyn and I attempted to be Kristen and make our own (I have never made them before)...but when getting the jello powder out, we realized we forgot to buy the little cups so I had to settle for crystal light and vodka and Ashtyn drank her Michelob Ultra.

An Oklahoma Weekend
Last weekend Matt's parents, Matt, and I packed the van full of luggage and headed over to Norman. It was a crazy weekend with lots going on.
We got there Friday, just in time to head over to the Kansas, Styx, and Foreigner concert. I remember always listening to my dad's foreigner cd when I was little because it was one of the first cd's we owned. The crowd was unusual and after hearing Juke Box Hero and Hot Blooded, my mom and I decided to leave with Matt's parents to finish getting stuff for Kristen's party the next day. Matt and my dad staying until past the end...and when we saw them that night they were off of the deep end as well.
Saturday was Kristen's graduation AND her birthday. So it was her birthuation I guess. We went to the packed arena to see her get her diploma, and she then snuck out early (thank god!) haha. Matt and his parents left early to go prepare the Jambalaya and potato salad for the party.
Updates...
It has been awhile so although I haven't slept at all, I thought I should write a little something. It feels so nice to know the semester is coming to an end. Not only that, but we should be getting our engagaments pictures that we took on April 29th any day now. (I'll will post a link when I get them). If we get 25-75 comments on our pictures on the photographers blog we get free stuff, so get ready to comment when I let you know. I had been waiting and waiting for the day of the session to get there...bleaching my teeth, working out, getting sleep. The day of I wasn't feeling very well though, of course. I could not get my head on straight and was VERY nervous to take pictures. I will tell more of the story when I post them.
So what else besides wedding and school has been going on? Well, Matt tore his ACL...ya you read correctly. You know, we figured that we didn't have enough going on in our lives so let's add this into the mix. He hurt it a year ago playing flag football (yes he also broke his nose in college playing flag football). We would ice it every night and he would go play again and again (reinjuring it). He wakeboarded all summer, and this winter he was fine. Then flag football started again this year and in the first game he hurt it yet again so he decided it was time to give in and see a doctor. I wish he would have done it sooner because he has been very active on a torn ACL for a year. He got a VERY expensive knee brace so he can continue to be active...luckily we have a fantastic support system to step in and help us out.;) After the wedding he plans to get the knee surgery to have it fixed. But this will have to be done soon after because there is talk that he could be going to Russia for work (for 3 months to a year) in the fall. (yes, leaving me behind). This is not certain, but it will make for one hell of a first year together.
This weekend we are heading to Oklahoma for Kristen's graduation and birthday, and my bridal shower. I am so excited because I haven't been since Christmas and I haven't seen a lot of my family since thanksgiving. Now, I just hope that the tornado's stay away while I am there, but hey, last time I was in a record breaking blizzard when I went! I just want some pool time...

Tie-the-Knot Celebration
Yes...two posts in one day. I am playing catch up. Still very busy, but since our shoot was canceled I am catching up on life outside of school for a few hours.
Last weekend we went to Lafayette for a party thrown for us by Bob and Lou Ahrabi. I have been calling it the, "Tie-the-Knot Celebration", but it didn't really have a name.
It was at the Petroleum Club in Lafayette...walk through the 50th Reunion Party in the front room, to the old Men's Quarters in the back. Not only was the room we were in small and quaint with a nice warm feel to it; hearing the old people (who I loved) say, "You are too young to be here for our reunion!?' was pretty funny. If Kristen was there, I am sure she would have ended up on the dance floor with them.
This party was planned quickly, so my mom, Kristen and Jake were not able to make it due to the 20 hour round-trip drive. My dad was in New Orleans for work, so he rented a car (if you could call it that) and drove over to "represent" as mom called it. I wish I had a picture of that car...picture my dad in a small white hatchback that looks like a smart car in size...with manual window roll down that he would feverishly turn in order to talk to us...or pick up the ladies haha.
Matt and I showed up a few mintue late, as usual, and were amazed by the setup when we walked in. I am hoping that our wedding can compete with the decor. I had told Mrs. Lou to do a Louisiana theme if she needed ideas. The decor was in our wedding colors; each table had a basket of citrus fruits and the mantle had an assortment of Louisiana greenery. The cake was delicious; decorated in our colors with a fleur de lis and they handed out favors of Tabasco sauce and pecan pralines. Wow!
We stepped into the crowd of people and I don't think I stopped talking from that point on...next to the door was also a framed picture of us that people could engrave their name in. The food was a buffet line of all sorts of stuff...including my favorite, CRAB CAKES! Mrs. Debra and Mr. Saeed stood up to give a great speech and called on my dad, who was put on the spot, and told a sweet story about when we moved to Louisiana...I looked down at the table the whole time to keep from crying...yes I am Debbie Junior.
Then Matt and I were called up, and of course he says a great little speech while I look at Mrs. Linda, mouthing, "I don't know what to say..." She was my "mom" for the night. So it came to me and I said..."Yes, I agree with Matt." haha...WHAT!? I need to practice that stuff...no words could come out, yet I am known to ya'll as the person who won't shut up... Matt then goes on to tell the introverted/extroverted story from our marriage class, while my teeth chattered together...too many people looking at me. How am I gonna get married in front of double the number of people?!
Anyway, it was a fantastic night full of lots of friends...although I did miss many as well. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Ahrabi!
And if you haven't gotten your wedding invite, be looking for it!

Sit Back and Relax
Our engagement photo session was supposed to be at 5 pm, but due to weather was rescheduled this morning for this coming Thursday evening. I hope it doesn't rain on Thursday because we cannot reschedule our shoot for a fourth time...Matt and I have devised a plan to make our shoot really cool if it does. This would involve dramatic lighting, dancing (my idea), an umbrella, and kiss under it in the rain (Matt's idea).
I guess here is to another week of eating right, excercising, teeth whitening, and face cleansing routinely. Luckily, Matt and I felt the pressure to go shopping together last night for our outfits...finally! I will get mine ready this weekend so my crazy week doesn't get in the way of looking pretty for the shoot. But...since it is cancelled for today...I am taking a spoon and scooping out a glob of Nutella from the jar Matt keeps hidden from me on the top shelf of our pantry; for fear that I will not be able to resist and eat it all before he gets a bite. Yum!
A Mardi Gras Shower with a Couple of Friends and Family
Erika, Leslie, and Leigh Ann took charge in planning this shower for us from the very beginning. Layla, David, and Matt's parents stepped in to help with a place to have it and to make ALL of the food. And there was a lot of food! From fruit, to cheese, to dips, to gumbo, to king cakes...it looked like a greecian feast.
All of the wedding party that attended brought a little something to help in the preparation. Kristen brought the coronas, Jake-the water, Logan-more beer, Ashtyn- the daquiris, Derrick-the ping pong balls, Omeed- the sprite and coke, Danielle- more beer..etc...we had a lot of beer haha We are so grateful to have such FANTASTIC friends and family! It had been raining the entire week before, but cleared up for our special day (hopefully we are as lucky for our ceremony in June).
It passed by so fast, but it was so nice to see everyone. I had met many of the persian guests at other parties, but some I didn't remember their names. I am also not sure they even knew who I was haha. One passed me up when walking in, then later walked to my mom and told her congrats (thinking she was the bride)...many women later asked me if she was my sister. I commented "no", and told them her age haha. Kristen was her typical awesome maid-of-honor self...cutting the limes and showing up with a printed list of names to write the gifts down. Leslie was not herself (sorry it has to be said)...she is typically the punctual one who is always early and has everything planned out. That day she wasn't feeling good because of a Mardi Gras ball the night before. I loved it...everyone has their time when they need to be a little off...that is why we are friends haha. Erika and Leigh Ann got to the shower early to decorate everything...I appreciated that, especially since Leigh Ann is now larger than normal. ;)
The warm gumbo helped out with the cool weather which seemed to get cooler as each gift was opened. Everyone sat patiently and watched Matt and I open our many great gifts...we are so excited about them. One of our favorites was the set of crawfish boiling supplies Matt's aunt gave us since we couldn't register for them. It was just a great day with great people...if it is any preminition of what is to come for our wedding day...I CAN'T WAIT!
Later that day, the party continued at Erika's in-laws RV they set up on the parade route. It was Matt and I's shower continued complete with left-overs and sandwiches. It was the only parade that Matt and I got to go to this year so we enjoyed it.
The next day before we left, I was able to go to Linda's and try my dress, shoes, and veil on for my family to see. I was nervous to show them and hoped they liked it...my dad came up with a new song for me to walk down the aisle to. We brought Jake to the airport in Houston so he could fly home for school. When telling him goodbye, I thanked him for going through so much trouble to come down for our shower. He said, "Why wouldn't I, you are my sister!?" He is getting so grown-up...I love my family!

Marriage Prep
Excitement and Nerves
Tomorrow school starts (que scary movie death music)...I am very nervous because supposedly it will be the hardest semester yet. I keep trying to think positive because thinking negative sure didn't help me any last semester. Sooo...I am going to have a fun and awesome semester! (said with a cheesy smile)
This past week was full of excitement. The most exciting thing was that my wedding dress came in on Saturday! As I opened the box, I saw the word dress on the label, and began tearing at the tape with all of my might. I was so excited when I saw it...it is sooo pretty. My ebay dress purchase was a success in terms of quality! When I tried it on, it was a bitter sweet moment. Originally when trying the designer dress on in the store, it was so small that it wouldn't go over my rear. I ordered the correct size to fit my larger bottom half, but apparently I have lost a lot of weight since I got measured in November. The dress is big EVERYWHERE...I knew this wouldn't be easy. Hopefully after my "lady" alters it, it will fit perfectly (I she can even alter it that much). My garter also came in so my wedding day outfit is close to complete.
Matt and I also met with our cake person who helped us design it and talked to the people about our Persian Rehearsal Dinner which should be a lot of fun. Matt's parents came here last night and his mom gave me my christmas gift from the family. It was a yellow scarf that had my "new" initials on it in green and orange. It looked so weird to see those initials and think they were about to be mine.
I also had my endoscopy Monday, where I was told that my ulcer is GONE! That was a good feeling, unforutnately I still have several mini-ulcer sores so the doctor is not sure why. I also noticed that my perpetual headaches I have had several times a week for years seemed to go away when I was on my diet. I will be continuing my "lifestyle" diet, as well as, getting three different food allergy tests done to make sure that is not what is causing all of my problems.
As I am finishing up this blog, another exciting delivery was just made! I have just been loving the post woman this week! We just received our first wedding registry gift from Matt's uncle, Reza, in California. Stacked at my front door are 3 large Macy's boxes with his name on them, but I am waiting on Matt to get home to open them. I feel like a child at Christmas, so like a child, I looked at our registry and found out that it is most likely our dishes...it will be hard not to use them until we are married! Be sure to keep checking our website for updates: www.mattandnikki.projectwedding.com and sign our guestbook!

Almost 5 months...
Matt and I have been getting more and more motivation to get in shape for our wedding since it is almost 5 months away. We picked photos to inspire us...we will see if we get any results, but I am posting the inspiration photos to make it a little more real.
Matt was lucky to have himself to inspire...himself. He was working out pretty hard and running with his roomate, Lee at LSU about four years ago so we picked a photo from Spring Break to inspire him. It might be hard to tell, but as soon as he saw it he knew what he had to do. He has been trying hard to go to the gym; packing a small bag to bring to work everyday. Please ignore the large blonde next to him (I cannot believe I was once "That girl" that was with the cute guy and didn't realize it haha)
I haven't been as good as I would like to be in recent years and really couldn't find a pick to inspire me. Since we are going to be at the beach (hopefully) for our honeymoon, I wanted a bathing suit picture to inspire me. The problem with going to celebs for inspiration in the past is that they all are pretty slender, and let's face it, this girl has got curves that are not going away. I tried to think of someone with a similar shape, so I picked Kim Kardashian...I know I know. It seems like everyone is talking about her body these days, but the reason I picked her is because she does not look like she is full of muscle (because mine never shows), and her rear and chest are pretty similar to mine...large. After I started running last spring, my stomach started to slim down and then this diet furthured that. I am hoping that I can continue to eat similar to the way I have been and start running again (signed up for another 10K)...and then will add in some Tae Bo resistance bands. I know myself so gyms will just not work.
I won something...
Wish I could quickly get a trip together for palm beach haha.
My favorite website for wedding planning asked us to comment on our favorite part of wedding planning and was giving away prizes for doing so. Although I couldn't go this coming weekend, I quickly typed in mine (hoping to score the tickets for New York)...and I won 1 ticket to go to a big beach wedding show this coming weekend in Palm Beach. It is impossible for me to get there for the event, bit is still pretty cool that I won by quickly telling what I thought....which was not about the dress (the typical bride answer)! There were 65 people writing in and they chose 17 winners, so it makes me feel great! Anyone wanna go that can get there...?

A Mix and A-Mingle
"X"ing out the days
It seems like lately the calendar days have been collecting their X's very quickly. Before you know it...I will be walking down the aisle! ;) We have a little over 8 months left... and we are still progressing very nicely.
Two weeks ago we visited Austin, Texas to go to the one wedding shop out of four states of shops that had my dress. Of course when we got there, the dress was so small that it wouldn't go over my bottom. So I have pictures of me in the bottom of the dress, and pictures in the top separately. That does not stop my imagination so I went home and photoshopped them together to show my mom and sis the complete look. We all LOVED it and the seamstress sent me samples of the fabric she uses and I love them, so in Novermber I will be getting measured and ordering what I now know is my wedding dress. The thought that I have found my dress now makes me feel like it is all really happening, and I am getting more and more excited every day! That night we met Matt's cousin and his wife for dinner. She had called ahead for reservations and told them we were celebrating our engagement. When we got there, the menus said "Congratulations" and later we got a free desert haha. I loved it!
I have also started to collect decorations that I have found along the way at stores. Seeing everything makes it all come together and helps me to create more of a vision. Matt decided on gray suits and we are going to look for them in a few months. We have narrowed down our honeymoon destination to St. Lucia and Bora Bora, depending on money haha. My bridesmaids outfits are almost done, and I am deciding on my Junior Bridesmaid's dress this week. Today Matt and I toured the Hilton Garden Inn near our venue and they gave us a great rate of $69 per night so we will be setting that up for you all shortly! I have become an expert on cool blog sites for creative wedding ideas and have found that to be a constructive waste of my time. I am starting to put together ideas that will make our wedding more personal and am finishing picked music for the ceremony within the next week so that I can find someone to sing and play it all. If only Jonas would get back to me (as I look around scratching my head)...;)
Favorite websites so far...
I had my follow up appointment after my endoscopy the week before last. I was told at the endoscopy that I had an ulcer and would be getting anitbiotics for it. When I arrived, she said that I have a very inflamed and irritated stomach with an ulcer, and my valve between my esaphagus and stomach isn't working properly. On top of this new information, they don't know why this has happened...the story of my life! I have now decided that I will take no medication (that could just hurt something else), and have put myself on a regime of no sugar, white flour, and no dairy to get my body in balance (also no coffee). My hope is that within a few months my body will be balanced and I will be able to function fully aware and awake with no coffee. I am on day nine and doing well...I am very proud of myself and hope that this can aid in healing other imbalances in my life.
Matt and I celebrated our seven years of dating this past week. The day was October 10th, but Matt was at the LSU/FLORIDA game so he got back Sunday with flowers for me. Monday night he gave me a new LSU shirt, and took me to dinner and a movie. I must say, I have found such a great guy! After seven years I can still get giddy when thinking about how sweet he is which is rare I have found. Sure we have our tiffs, but in the end we conquer together as strong team mates.
Have a good weekend,
Niks
Almost 9 months left...and still a lot to do
Well in my attempt to avoid doing school work I decided to write a little about my wedding planning experience.
Well first of all...the advice about not listening to people's advice was given to me on a congratulations card from my sister...and it is so true. It seems like the people you want advice from do not give it enough and the one's you don't want it from cannot stop giving it. haha
After getting engaged, I lay in bed the next morning not wanting to plan ever. I knew how much work it would be and just wanted to be married. Well, planning so far has had its goods and bads.
Matt and I narrowed all of Houston's venues down to six, which we looked at and then narrowed down to three. Finally, we decided on Agave Road in Katy, Texas. We figured it was a good mid-point between Louisiana and Oklahoma and has the feel that we love. It also has an outdoor area and an indoor area.
When we paid the deposit for the venue we got our caterer, bar service, cake designer, officiant, and dj along with it. I still have to decide on some of the specifics and meet with these people and have tastings.
Next we looked for a photographer since it was one of the most important parts for me (being in a design major). I looked through many people, and met with three. They were all very good at what they do and we had a hard time deciding. In the end, Matt made a spread sheet with all three and the categories: price, skill, and personality. We rated the categories by importance and the winner ended up being the photographer we had been admiring since we moved here. He was also the one I got along with the best, and I got his price down to meet my budget.
When my mom and sister came in for the bridal show, I tried on my first wedding dress and we all fell in love with the second one. There was one more that we all liked in a picture that I wanted to try on before I decided. I have been on the hunt in Houston, Lafayette, and even tried to recreate this dress with a combination of dresses in Baton Rouge with my friend Ashtyn. I still have not found the actual dress to try on, and am waiting for a store in Austin to call back about possibly getting it for a trunk show in October. Until then, I will be putting the dress hunting on hold. I am hoping to order a dress by November/ December.
I have decided on a line for my bridesmaids to choose from. I asked them to choose from a variety of yellow, tea-length dresses and gave them until November/ December to decide which one they want.
Matt and I wrote out our ceremony and picked a song for me to walk down the aisle to. I am hoping to find a family member who can sing/play it for me. We also finalized our guest list before he left for Russia on Monday. We have a grand total of 366 people invited to our wedding! That is A LOT!
Lately, I feel like I am floating in the air with no direction to go with all of this planning stuff. My best friend, Erika, met with me on Saturday to help me clarify what I should be doing. She helped me make a 1.5 page list of things still left to do and helped me with what flowers I like. We looked at a lot of decorations so I am still very confused haha. I called a florist and setup an appointment for October so hopefully I will feel better after that. We can also do a catering tasting the first Tuesday of every month, so that might be in October as well.
I am managing school and planning better than I thought; one being a break from the other. It is starting to get more fun with the actual decroations and fashion stuff. I cannot wait to do invitations!;) I am also trying to make a list of things to do in Houston for everyone, so if anyone has any suggestions let me know!
Love you,
Niks
"I Do"...not us yet
The last two weekends have been a nice break from school while we celebrated Matt's cousin gett married...August 7, 2009
The weekend before last we went to Marksville, Louisiana to celebrate the bride's Bachelorette Party at Paragon Casino. We had a great time by the pool and out Saturday night.
Last weekend our group of friends got together to get those two hitched. Matt is Beau's cousin and was the best man. I have grown close to his fiance over the years and was one of her bridesmaids. This was the first wedding for our group of friends that has become close in college. Thursday night was the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner at Matt's family property in Lafayette. the That night the girls stayed in a nice hotel condo and stayed up until 3:30...yes 3:30! Danielle is such an easy-going bride, I do not know if I could go that late the night before my wedding haha. Saturday we started out by getting our hair and makeup done...I would go to these girls if I was getting married in Lafayette...they are so good. We ate...but not too much...and finished getting ready to head to the church in our party bus.
The ceremony was a Catholic Mass that lasted an hour and I walked with Matt's brother. Never thought I would walk with him down the aisle before I walked with Matt ;). After the ceremony, we all took the party bus to the reception where we danced until they closed and then went downtown to continue dancing. Congrats to the happy couple...your wedding was so much fun! Have fun on your honeymoon! These pics aren't the best, when I get some more I will post them.

In other news, we poured my 800 pound baby (the cistern) today and it went well.
Matt and Nikki Wedding update:
got the date, the place, rehearsal dinner venue, caterer, dj, photographer, and I am almost done
trying to finalize a guest list and decide on which officiant we want and the type of ceremony
I am almost done deciding on the bridesmaid dresses and I have now begun trying on wedding dresses and have 2 or 3 that I really like.
Trying to get as much done before school starts as possible.
