Happy Mardi Gras Season!
I have to admit I had a secret motive for taking down all of my Christmas stuff yesterday...it was the first day of Mardi Gras Season! After A LONG time of asking my mom for one of her awesome Mardi Gras wreaths, she finally made me one for Christmas. I LOVE IT! Hoping to make some similar ones to sell...
Not only is it Mardi Gras season this week, but also 5 1/2 months until our wedding. I am starting to feel stressed because we are now in the last half of the stretch and our shower is in a month! I am just trying to enjoy it all...Matt and I finished picking what we think will be our ceremony music last night and have our first cake meeting next week. We are also signing up for a premarrital workshop for January 30th. We were told by some friends (Erika) that it is a must do, and could only help us in the end. I have also ordered many of the pieces to what will be my bridesmaids jewelry and sign-in book...now I just have to make them.
I had my 3 month follow-up appointment with the stomach doctor this week and went in with high hopes, considering I went in after doing an extreme life-style change for 3 months that was over and beyond what the doctor asked for. She commended me for doing my research and sticking with the tough-but-worth-it diet. Unfortunately, I still feel my ulcer (just thinking it needed more time to heal) and she said I shouldn't feel it at all anymore. That was very frustrating news because if it is still there, she doesn't know why it is not healed all the way which means there is something else besides diet causing it (I could've told her that). I have to go in for ANOTHER endoscopy on Monday! I am upset because if it is not there I will have paid and done the drugging procedure for nothing, and if it is...what is next!? Wish me luck...
I will leave you with a reminder to watch the National Championship game tonight! Here is to a good game!
